A parasol is not an umbrella, no matter what you say

I bought this gorgeous late 1960s super bargain cotton sundress from gorgeous Leisa's wardrobe shop...

I frickin L.O.V.E. it.

She sent me THIS incredible frock as a GIFT!

For no reason!

From the kindness or her beautiful heart!

Polka dots and stripes and RIC FRICKIN RAC!

Annabel gave me some posing lessons.

I highly recommend you pop over and check out Leisa's lovely bargain store. You might just find something fabularse for yourself... and while you're there please feel free to grab this fab swimsuit for me (my birthday is only a few short weeks away!). Thanks.

If this dress were a man, she'd be Steve Buscemi. Seriously, that's how much I love her. Thank you Leisa!

No country for old men

I found these fab old man pin striped pants
at my fave op shop on the weekend.

I couldn't wait to wear them,

so this is what I wore to work today.

They have these adjustable clip things at the hips...

I love them.

And so does Saint Dave of the Holy Hotness.

Hello, lover...

It was fabulously, eerily foggy this morning.

Perfect for burying bodies in the back yard.

I wore:
Pants, top, beads as bracelet - op shopped
Chucks - retail
Saint Dave brooch - made it myself

Guess who's going to see Tenacious D
in May on the last night of HELGASTOCK2013!

Little miss strange came out of the darkness

This magnificent early 70s maxi was a gift from the darlings at Vintage Junkyard
Thank you so much, ladies.

I wonder if there's any occasion I couldn't wear it...

Stroking the velvet

I am loving myself sick in my new to me
1950s hot pink velvet wiggle skirt...

and it suits my current dirty mood perfectly.

I can wiggle with the best of 'em.

I even have the soundtrack in my head as
I strut through the corridors at work:

Boom tsk ba boom tsk
Boom tsk ba boom tsk

Joan would be proud.

We were young, and no one could tell us we were wrong

One of yesterday's incredible op shop finds:
1960s shantung maxi with beautiful beading...
just perfect for some nonsense.

Here's my friend Jane and my sister in law Alice.
Two more understated, poised and elegant ladies you could never hope to meet...

Faffing about in Alice's backyard after several
'mango and passionfruit daiquaritas'
(that's what they were called, according to Alice)

Of course, I am always above such shenanigans...

Then we headed off to 1980s karaoke, where we lived on prayers, shook all night long, turned around bright eyes, were super freaks, love shacked and I can't remember what else. But oh my gerd it was such a fun night I woke up with a limp, no voice and achey cheeks from laughing. I'm the eye of the tiger of winningness!

Exhibit A: some blurry phone pics.

Happy weekend you guys...
hope you're having half as much fun as I am!

The devil went down to Georgia

and painted a chair...

I call this colour 'spewmint'

And I made a mary. I'm a devout atheist
but I adore religious junk, like my pal Emma.

Some more of my religious junk...

And a bit more...

I think it might almost be time to paint the shack again. I'm a bit bored with the chartreuse. The spewmint looks so good with the pink...

What do you think?

Spewmint walls and a granny square roof?
With a Day of the Dead Doll's Head Garden?
And Tim Burton as my neighbour?
Yes please!
