Friday True Story
Last night I went to the chemist (pharmacy, drug store) to have my latest antibiotic prescription filled. My fourth sinus infection of the season has caused swelling/bleeding in my throat and it's very difficult for me to swallow tablets, so my doctor has prescribed a liquid suspension.
The pharmacist calls out "Cooper Smith" and a blonde lady steps forward. The pharmacist asks "How old is Cooper?" and the blonde lady says
he is 18 months old. They discuss the antibiotics for a minute
then the blonde lady leaves.
Then the pharmacist says "Sarah Misfit" and I step forward. The pharmacist asks "How old is Sarah?" and I reply "Er... forty two..."
The lady standing next to me snorted so hard, her hearing aid squealed!

FIUUU! (I don't know how to make the whistle of appreciation sound online!I'm ok-word...)
My eyes almost popped out to see those perfect outfits (the leopard, the stripes, the hot pink and the fabulous iconic coat are more than a human can see all in once!) but my heart is broken to hear that you are not feeling good!
But your medical related stories are always funny, you must write a tv series on them!
Loveyoumorethana42yearsoldbabygirl!
Ha,ha,ha how stupid would that pharmacist feel. I love your stripey number.
Luurrrrve that creamy coat with the fur collar. Delicious.
Well, I would squeal if I stood next to you in the chemist too, and I don't wear a hearing aid!
Look at your gorgeousness, all for The Man... Love that furry collar SO much, and at first glance, I thought you had done a most intricate braiding hairdo that looked like roses. Then I realised they ARE roses. Where are my glasses?
No one rocks the leopard print like you, and whenever I see that stripey skirt, I want to have a share a bag of humbugs with you.
Feel better Immediately, slurp that medicine down, Matron's orders! xxxxxxxxx
I hate sinus infections. One ruined a spring break trip a couple of years age. Get better. In the first photo you look like a movie star, that white coat is beautiful.
You look great and the outfits are really great. Women can be so bitchy about women in general. Ignore the bitchy women and remember you look great and fabulous.
Cute story! I love your coat in this and the post below - both are divine. Hope your infection gets better, that sucks. I've had sinus issues for years and there's nothing like sinus pain.
You are radiant again!! Even as your throat bleeds. ;( that sounds so painful and annoying. Hope they can knock your infection out this time. I had an ear infection this summer which caused my first ever (hopefully the last) migraine.
I especially love that cream coat. How could you not feel elegant in something like that.
Have a restful weekend, and call me in the morning. That's an order!!
Love your chemist story! That's very odd that he would ask how old you are, when you're the one picking up the prescription. So many of our blogger circle are under the weather these days! I hope your sinus infection is under control soon; I've never had one, but hear they are brutal. You look fabulously chic and curvy in your photos.
Love this story lil Sarah Misfit! I am also loving all these yummy outfits. Girl your body is bangin! Your hair is looking extra cute and it's not just those fabulous flowers. You could do hair commercials, you could totally sell me any hair product, take it here's my money.
YourGORGEOUSandIwuvsya!
Krista
well im chuckling to and im thinking cheeky man fancy asking a lady her age ;-)) You look gorgeous in your outfits im loving the cream coat you look stunning, cozy and warm ;-)) Have a lovely weekend to sweetie, hugs, dee xxx
That coat is amazing, I had a floor length version about 15 years ago and stupidly stupidly got rid of it.
I think you are a fabulous inspiration to growing old disgracefully and staying true to who you are xxx
Oooh I love that coat and all of that pinkness. Hope your feeling better and I'm glad to see you causing mayhem even when your under the weather.
Have a cracking weekend.
xxxx
Wonderful outfits. I hope you'll get well soon.
YAY,a true Friday story!!! I was in the chemist on Thurs, they didn't bother to ask how old I was.....!!!Poor sinusus.Frigging HORRIBLE when they get infected.I can't believe how frigging fabulous and gorgeous you have looked all week, though, despite it!SO onto it,each and every outfit is pure fperfection....dribble!!!You are so slinky!I always love you in that pencil skirt, but then,I'd love you in a SACK.
Love you more than hessian and ashes!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
You are just too stylish boo! I bet that monochrome skirt makes your bum look fabulous x
Hahaha, I love Friday's true story. Was the pharmacist a little taken aback?
Oh Sarita, I love both of these outfits. I think my fave has got to be the leopard print on though - there's just something about Sarah in leopard print!
You look great in whatever you wear Sarah! :-)
The poor pharmacist...
Admiring the second look in particular--the striped skirt and the pink circle brooch. Hope you're feelin' better soon.
SUNSHINE OF MY LOVE ! I also hate swallowing tablets! grrrz
{{{{{healing hugs}}}}}}}}}} I must say you look totally FABULOUS for being under the weather!!
The cream coat is divine!! I've been on the hunt for a vintage cost -it's almost impossible to find amongst all the puffy down filled stuff it seems. I have no need for any extra puffiness-I supply my own.
I hope you've gulped down that medicine and that you're feeling loads better now! That coat's fabulous on you (what isn't?) and you look remarkably hot for a sick woman.
I thought your hair was a fancy up-do,too! I think I need black roses so everyone thinks I'm clever at hair!
Love you more than huge blingy brooches! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Hello lurker here. I just want to say I always enjoy your posts and your outfits.
I have an age story too. One night after a horrible night at work, I bought a bottle of beer and was asked for ID. I have enough gray hair to make a wig. I looked at the cashier and said I am 54! Sheesh. I know they have to be careful because of the strict selling to minors laws. But do I look like a minor?
Oh no! I hope you are feeling better soon, love! I am going to email you a concoction I make when I am sick as well as a soup recipe. I love your stripey skirt and your cuddly white coat.
Gaaaaah! Tis been TOO long since I've caught up on your goings on Sarah! LMAO at you chemist story! Loves it...oooh that coat looks so cuddly warm!
Aysh xoxo
