This one goes out to the one I love

After ten straight days of mad rain, wind and floods,
today the sun finally came out so it was time to wear...

My Absolute Favourite Frock Ever

1950s French nylon

She is so threadbare and delicate, I hardly ever wear her...

I want to be buried in this frock.

I wore:
1950s frock and 1950s petticoat - ebay (both many years ago)
Hat - Can't remember
Pearl bracelet - Gift from my darling Ada
Skull bracelet - Gift from my darlings G-Star and Helga-tron
Earrings - Estate auction
Sunnies - Overprice vintage store

My laaawd, I love living here.

PS - Thank you all for your lovely comments on yesterday's post.
My Mama was a jazz singer. She died in 1995.
You can find a few more pics of her here and here.

I wish I lived there too. You get such gorgeous light and the backdrop to your photos is always stunning. And then I could come and raid your wardrobe and you could teach me how to shop and look good in clothes again :(

You look like a film star. All my favourite clothes are delicate, there's that fear one day you'll put on your dress and it disintegrates before your eyes!
Beautiful skies, enough to make you feel optimistic just looking at it.

You look like a funky shepherdess just wandered off a Gainsborough painting, amor! I've never come across French nylon before, how splendid and delicate it looks.
The weather always looks beautiful on your blog, I can't believe you've had rain of biblical proportions.
Bloody Skype, my computer crashed this morning but at least I got an hour of you.
Love you! xxxxxxxxxx

Dearest Sarah,
You look amazing!
I'm not surprised that is your fave dress, it's gorgeous.
I so need to live near the sea...I'm really rather jealous that you have all this stunning scenery on your doorstep.
It's very hard to get inspired by what's outside my front door...overflowing stinky bins, crumbling house facades & a fucked-up Ford Fiesta.
Hope all is well with you...x

That is SUCH a beautiful dress. What a wonderful print, and the shape and fit are divine. Take good care of her, so that she'll last till you pop your high heels at the grand old age of 99, probably while having the hot sex with some toy boy.
Lovely photos, not in the least surprised you love living where you do - who wouldn't?
Oh and btw - how bloody gorgeous are you, honeypie??!! xxxxxxxxx

That's a stunning dress, I can see why you love it. A shame it's so delicate, but what a treat when you do wear it!
Love the beach pictures - hopefully it won't be too much longer before we can make a trip to the coast x

That last photo Sarah: you look like an English lady visiting Italy!

Your mother was a real beauty - and the apple did not fall far away! :-)

If you get buried in that frock you will be the most exquisite corpse that the world has ever seen! By which, of course, I mean that dress is gorgeous.

Beautiful dress indeed! Izzy found one
Ike yours last year, it was in poor condition she restored it with tender loving care.
Lucky that you live near the beach, looks like a beautiful place, why don't you snap a few shots of your location.
