Since I have a paintbrush in my hand...

I am inspired to channel one of my favourite artists...

Self Portrait (II)

I wore:
Top, shoes, most bangles and bracelets - Op shopped
Embroidered silk skirt - One of my last serious retail purchases (four years ago)
Hair flowers - Retail and made by me
Choker - made by joining two op shopped Native American bracelets

The Frame (my favourite)

I know I said I wouldn't talk about it any more...
but I am very happy with my new colour (that's it behind me).
Still a beautiful chartreuse, but no yellow highlighter in sight.

Love your colors! Turned out great, you never know how it will turn out!
Love Frida, did you see the movie with Salma Hayek?

I think you really need to rock the Frida brows too :) Or not. Probably not actually. I love your new chartreuse walls! I seem to remember us having a car that colour when I was really little. Ah the joys of the seventies huh!

Definitely channeling Frida! Love the red top on you x The bright green is great - colours work so well in the sunshine!

Well, I always KNEW you could do a wonderful homage to Frida! You look amazing - the hair, the colours, the flowers, it's all just gorgeous.
And the chartreuse is working a treat too.
Beautiful art. Beautiful you!
PS. Can you try and do a ribbon-threaded-thru-your-plait hairstyle like Frida in the last picture? You'd look so great! xxxxxxxxxxx

Frida would totally wanna dance with you my dear. This is a glorious tribute, I love your skirt and sweet ballet shoes. You are both beautiful and badass strong women. So happy the color is back on track. If I drove by your house I think I would have to stalk you until we became friends.

Sarah, this might be one of the most beautiful, creative, exciting looks you've assembled yet! My sister is a huge Kahlo fan as well (who wouldn't be really? Oh yeah--those blah types who like Pollock) so I'm going to send her the link to this post. Loved the saturation of colour. You're an eye-porn goddess.

Frida Khalo is one of my fave dames! You look FRICKIN' GORGEOUS baby! Red looks so great with your hair; you are completely rocking the spanish/flamenca/Frida look. The only reason I would ever want to have long hair is so I can put it up and wear flowers in it.
