Last night I had the most fantastic dream...
Princess Leia, Virgin Mary and Carrie Fisher
were all hanging out at my gate,
which was some sort of holy grotto,
doing miracles and making salsa!
Testify!
My love for Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia and kitsch religious junk
is well documented, as is my atheism (and my love for salsa).
Here she is in the grotto, ready to perform her first miracle...
The Five Dollar 1960s Crocheted Dress of Frickin Awesome Holiness!
I'm in raptures of exquisite frock happiness!
Just chillin' in da grotto with ma homegirl...
I wore:
1960s crocheted dress - Op shopped yesterday, while I was with darling Margaret
Massive 1980s pearl choker - Gift from darling Ada
1940s lead crystal beads - Vintage market
Flowers - Op shopped, gifted, vintage store, retail
Belt - from a dress, op shopped
Oh, and if you haven't checked out Saint Desiree's most recent post
then do yourself a humungous favour and get over there!
Amen and Out!
Sarah

You look so lovely in your crochet goodness. I picked up a yellow maxi one recently and istantly thought of you. I have no idea the age of it sadly! Love the flowers.

I love your Princess Leia hair! I've never see Star Wars but remember the boys lusting after her. What a fabulous dress to find, you really are the goddess of crochet.
If Mary really could make Salsa that tasty I'd welcome her into my life with open arms.

I loooove that crocheted dress! That colour is absolutely amazeballs - as is your hairstyle! Adore the matching nail polish.
I don't think there is a single person, living or dead, that wouldn't come to a party in your grotto. Oh man, that came out so much worse than I intended.

When I hear grotto, I think of the playboy mansion. What a shame. I love Mary. My Lutheran side of the family doesn't agree, but I see nothing wrong in it, hello, she's jesus' mom. Give her a break. Love the imagery in this post. You so hot.

YOU are a miracle my lovely and the magic of her holiness Margaret was with you to find this frock. You are DEFINITELY one deadly female assassin, welcome to the dark side of swimsuits and spear guns;)) - MWAH!!!!!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoo
I adore Princess Leah and Carrie is also a pretty darn good writer and an overall trouble maker (Remember the John Travolta thing) which is another reason why I love her!
She tells it like it is!
Well enough about Carrie, lets talk about your saint-gloriousness in this dress with your oversize pearls and the yellow and white flowers-Amazing!!!!
I'm a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE fan of MARY. I'm not religious at all, but I covet all little Mary figurines and Mary kitsch.
Love the dress. It screams your name!
Wow - what an amazing score that dress is!!
mmm....salsa....
Love the cute blue dress! (and your princess leah like hairdo!)
I had a glow in the dark statue of the Virgin Mary as a kid!
Haha! At first glance I thought Mary-in-the- grotto was a fish. Standing on its tail. If you squint a bit... That blue is too perfect on you, please wear it often.
Holy Mother of Crochet! That's a gorgeous frock. It's almost as fabulous as your own handmade Juliet.
What HAS Mary got stuck on her head in a homage to Princess Leia? Sweeties? Buttons?
Loving your halo, darling, you should wear one every day! xxxxxxx
Your a miracle in that fabuloso crochet dress.
I love your hair princss leia style. I wear like that brfore going to bed but with braids. Buddy's family always make fun of my leia hair.
I am lusting over those big ass pearls of yours.
That mary bottle should be filled with salsa.
