Never mind fashion: when one has a style of one's own, it is always twenty times better.

My xmas rocked... how about yours?

I was spoiled rotten and received:
A first edition paperback of The Abortion: A historical romance 1966 by Richard Brautigan
A bottle of my favourite perfume, Samsara (I've been wearing it for 20 years!)
A beautiful deep crimson silk scarf
An amazing ring - hand painted by my super talented brother
A fabulous leopard print overnight bag
Some geek gadgets, chocolates and lovely bits n pieces...

Delightful!

As the new year looms, I've been looking back
through a year of posts and a few faves...

LEOPARD PRINT
A perennial favourite, I treat it as a neutral.
It puts a boom-chicka-wa-wow in my walk and makes me feel invincible.

YELLOW
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
You CAN wear yellow. You just haven't found the right shade yet...
And when you do it will chase the black dogs from your door.

BLACK AND WHITE
Always a favourite, I crave it... it grounds me. It brings me closer to Helena Bonham Carter, somehow... it makes me feel sophisticated, even when I am clearly not!

RED
My lifelong favourite. My first love.
I wear it when I'm tragic or delirious. Heartbroken or smitten kitten.
It's an exclamation mark, a comma, a cheeky hello, a hell no and a see-you-later.

I got the Lovely Things To Make as well! I love some of the ideas that it has. That yellow crocheted dress is super cute, and the red dress at the bottom left corner is great!

You are a very lucky girl!
My Christmas was also great and full of food, drinks and music.
I love all the yellows and reds that you wore this year and I'm looking forward to read and see much more in 2012.
I hope that 2012 brings you lots of new adventures, dresses, accessories and laughter.
With love,

Gorgeous presents for a gorgeous woman!
Your round-up just proves (if further proof were needed. Which it isn't) how extremely FABULOUS you are. Always an inspiration.
PS. Just bought a wonderful 1960s YELLOW frock. Because of you, love, all because of you! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
