I have been obsessed for ages...

...with getting my hands
on a crazy fabulous vintage caravan

and it's taken more than a year but I have found the perfect one...

but she's more than I had budgeted and I need to raise some extra funds!
(And cross my fingers that she will still be there when I have the money.)

I am also 'moving' soon - from the two tiny rooms I have been in for the last two years,
into the much larger room with ensuite (yay!).

Moving, even just down the hall, is always a great opportunity for a sort/cull...

I took more than 250 items to Salvos today
(this is about half)

And posted 12 parcels  to various peeps

Space in my wardrobe and loads of empty hangers - it's a miracle!

I uncovered a few treasures I had forgotten about: these fab pink 1950s bathroom scales,
a stack of fabulous vintage fabric and my fave crocheted tea cosy

And this Sgt Pepper jacket is a half finished pre-winter project
that I completely forgot about...
and why on earth do I have a riding hat that doesn't fit me?
That'll go to Annabel's dress up box.

 STUFF!

So I have loooooads of stuff that is too good to donate to charity,
but not worth spending the time and money listing it online for sale...

So I am thinking of doing a Blog Garage Sale...

A What Now?

A 100-items-in-30-days
online garage sale!

Each week I will list items for sale on my blog and if you want to buy something then
all you have to do is say so in the comments, pay by paypal and it's yours!

It's win-win-win...

Win 1:
I get rid of stuff, create some space and make some money towards my vintage caravan...

Win 2:
You win by scoring some fab bargains...

Win 3:
And the poor neglected dogs of Thailand win
as I will donate 20% of my takings from the sale to the
(click to find out more - warning: distressing images)

"Soi Dog Foundation is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization in Thailand,
the United States, Australia, France and Holland. Soi Dog helps the homeless, neglected and abused
dogs and cats of Thailand. Our aim is to set an example for the Asian region on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and to better the lives and living conditions of the stray dogs and feral cats of Asia."

What do you think... Good idea? No way?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

All that stuff - gone! Empty space in the wardrobe! You have clearly been extremely busy.
The blog garage sale is genius, can't wait. Count me IN. Then count your money, baby!

Oh my God that is a cute trailer. I am wanting one big time too! I seen so many come up for sale but I had to watch them find new homes cause I didn't have the cash. I hope to have one by next summer if not cross fingers for the summer after. *lol*

Whoever ends up at the Salvos you donated to is going to end up fainting. They will think they have died and gone to vintage heaven.

Cute caravan and fab idea to host a blog garage sale... just a thought, how will it work if two people want the same item? A bidding war or handbags at dawn? :-)

its truly amazing how many things you come across while cleaning out or even better moving. Love the riding hat that doesnt fit, made me giggle, but its a cool hat. I love the idea of a blog garage sale especially if you are planning to donate some of it to the dog charity in Thailand, I love dogs more than most people so its always great to find out how I can help some of them. I cant wait to see what goods youre putting out there for us to buy! :D oh and good luck with the move!
