Now is the winter of my discontent

This seems to have become my winter work wardrobe
~ turtleneck with pencil skirt and a million woolly layers ~

These outfits are so much more about warmth and comfort than style.

Every morning I shuffle for miles in minus five degrees, from the carpark to my work, with my wheatbag shoved down the front of my coat, looking like an extra from Gorky Park.

I curse under my breath and wish I had my vintage van, so I could head north
on a little mid winter adventure and go see my gals in Queensland for a couple of weeks.

The least I can do is glam up my dull old woolies with some leopard print and eyeliner.

I wore:
Pencil skirt, turtle neck, vintage faux fur and hair flowers - Op shopped
Sunnies, tights, boots and bag - Retail (the bag is about 20 years old!)
Gloves - Gift (thanks Kate)
Bathroom bag - Gift from awesome sister in law
Faux fur collar - Gift from beautiful Desiree

A couple of things I'm looking forward to in coming months:

and look who's touring here in November/December...

Woohoo!

Stay warm lil love, at least there is some good music to look forward too. I still have a hard time getting motivated in winter, I guess it was all those years living in California, good thing my work commute is down the hall :)

Oh yes, leopard print! You look gorgeous in your winter wear.
Dylan Moran is one of the funniest men I've ever seen. I saw him years ago and he was the best...I laughed so much...and he's lovely.
And Stevie Nicks...what can I say?xxxx

Love your outfit and how cool is your fringe?

P.s. I love Dylan Moran, I went to see him in Liverpool a few years back and had a cramp in my side from laughing so hard.

You've gotta love the leopard and you look utterly gorgeous in yours. Nothing unstylish about that. Desiree's fur collar is soooo glam on you.
I thought you said "the least I can do is glam up my dull old woolies with some leopard print eyeliner" and was very envious.
Fab to chat this morning. Love ya. xxx

Darling, you are far from dull,no matter what the weather!!!
I know what you mean though. One loses enthusiasm for frocking up in winter, when it all just gets covered up with warmies....I am having that lack of enthusiasm this week. And it's just on with the basics and the warmest things you have.Bleugh! I wish we could BOTH rock up to QLD and party on with our lucious warm & sunny wenches!!!
Leopard rocks,anyhow!
LOVE YOU!

The most glamorous person to grace the screen in Gorky Park, for sure! Gorgeous.

You may be cold but you look fabulous with all of the leopard prints accessories.
I love Stevie! I saw her with Fleetwood Mac 2 years ago and I brought my youngest daughter and she was so impressed by Stevie style, voice and beauty!

Reow! You are so glamorous! I love the image of you with the heatpack stuffed down your front, haha! I Slept without a hot water bottle for the first time last night (was too tired to make one up!) and regretted it...

If you haven't already sent me your kind treat, let me know as Dad is moving house and it might not arrive in time, so I'll have to give you his new address. Xx Claire

Simply luscious my sweet Sarah Misfit - you look good enough to squeeze in your delish leopard-print. We're both going potty over it at the mo aren't we;))? It's the perfect feel-good-when-it's-frickin-freezing print. Lurve the sunnies - pile on that print love! xoxoxoxoxo

You still look fabulous Sarah, whatever the temperature and however many layers you need! Very classically chic, with a little bit of naughty leopard print for luck!

Love Stevie Nicks, went to see Fleetwood Mac when they last toured and she was still rocking the platform boots, twirly dress and lace shawl. I completely agree that you should dress a la Stevie when you see her. In fact, may we have a preview? A recreation of the cover of Belladonna would be fantastic!

Very film noir dahling, bet you are the glammest thing in the car park ;) How exciting about Stevie, I am a little envious! xx
