I love owls! I think it's because they look like grumpy cats.
That owl pocket is inspired and even the owl in the bix is rather cute in a demonic way.
There's a tiny owl that visits us on the balcony of the place we stay in India, we feed him nuts and he looks remarkably like the top guy. Maybe I could knit him a hat, he does seems sartorially challenged.

Eeeeee! So, so cute. I am starring this post to keep to look at whenever I'm sad. That last one, hahahaha! And the hat! I'm with Vix, they DO look like grumpy cats! Oh and I LOVE your skirt, I want an owl pocket myself now.

I love them too Vix - and now that you've said they look like grumpy cats, that's all I can see!

Wow - take a pic if you can of the little Indian owl - I would love to see it!

Penny - that pocket took me about two hours (because I hand stitched - you could prob do it on a machine in ten minutes flat!) I just used some felt and fabric scraps. I'm going to make an elephant pocket for summer!

First off, I owe SO much to Helga for all of these lovely collectors of vintage who have been coming by my page, when it's just a diary and I cannot even begin to hold a candle to all you Grand Dames and your fabulous frocks and wardrobes. I love fashion and models like mad...speaking of which, please make sure you come back to my blog on December 1st (World AIDS Day) because by chance, I am interviewing someone who has had a VERY high visibility in the fashion industry who ever so sweetly allowed me to do so. I can ONLY go that far, but I will say that if you were into fashion from the late 70's into much of the 1980's, you will recognize her work and possibly her. And believe me, like a child waiting for St. Nick on Xmas morning, I am SO excited to have that interview that I am still working on. You are so right about this blogging world and all these connections and people that you meet. I've seriously been so touched that all you grande dames of vintage have come by my little dog a pony show for my potty mouth, dish, and thoughts on my life in general. You are welcome to come by any time...mark your calenders dahling, I am so excited for my Dec. 1st entry! xoxoxox Christopher
